Your IT department, for a fixed monthly price
For businesses with no IT person of their own. One price per user covers the help desk, the updates, the security and the planning, so IT stops being something you have to think about.
- Trading since 2011
- From £30 per user per month
- Cyber Essentials certified
- Support in Welsh or English
Is this the right page for you?
Managed IT support is for businesses where nobody's job is IT. Usually the owner or office manager has been picking it up between everything else. We take all of it off them.
No IT person?
This is you. We become your IT team: on site across South Wales, from Carmarthen to Bridgend, and remote for everything that can be fixed without a visit, which is most things.
Already have an IT person?
You probably want co-managed IT instead. We work alongside your IT person, anywhere in the UK, covering the gaps rather than replacing them.

Planning, not just fixing
Fixing problems quickly is the minimum. The point of a managed service is that fewer problems happen in the first place.
Tech review meetings
Regular sit-downs to look at what's coming up in your business and what your IT needs to do about it. Hiring, a new site, a laptop fleet reaching end of life, a contract up for renewal. You get a plan and a budget, not a surprise.
Disaster recovery testing
Twice a year we prove your recovery plan works by actually running it. A backup you've never restored from is a hope, not a backup. How our backup works.
Honest tooling costs
Endpoint protection, the monitoring agent and the password manager are passed through at our supplier's price, as a separate line. We don't add a margin to them.

Pick the hours you need. Mix tiers if some staff need more cover than others. There's no minimum.

How we start
-
Free exposure check
We look at what an attacker can see from outside: leaked passwords, email spoofing and exposed systems. You get a plain-English scorecard either way.
-
Audit and tidy
We look at your PCs, network, Microsoft 365, backups and licences, fix the quick wins and give you a plain-English list of what's left.
-
Run and improve
Monitoring, patching and support run in the background. Tech reviews keep your IT pointed at where the business is going.
What we don't do
We don't do pay-as-you-go call-outs. That isn't us being precious. The only way to keep IT reliable is to look after it all the time, and a supplier paid per fault has no reason to stop the faults happening. A fixed monthly fee means we're paid to prevent problems, so our interests and yours point the same way.
"Great products, great service, great people, overall great experience working with James, Rhys and the rest of the team at Octopus 365."
Questions
How much does managed IT support cost?
From £30 per user per month on the Workday tier, £45 on Workweek and £65 on Always-On, all plus VAT. Shared devices such as a reception PC can be covered from £15 a month, and a whole site from £100. Security and monitoring tools are added at our supplier's price with no margin. Our cost calculator works out your total.
Is there a contract?
No long contract. It's a simple monthly support agreement, and either side can end it with 30 days' notice.
What counts as a user?
Anyone who needs support. Devices that several people share can be covered per device instead, and a small site can be covered with a single per-site price. Most businesses end up with a mix, and we'll work out the cheapest combination with you.
Do you support Macs?
Yes. We support Macs alongside Windows PCs, iPhones, iPads and Android devices, and the price is the same whichever you use.
What happens outside our support hours?
Monitoring keeps running around the clock on every tier, so problems are flagged even when nobody is in. Human support is available within your tier's hours. If you need evenings and weekends covered, the Always-On tier gives you 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
Do you come on site?
Yes, across South Wales, including Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot, Llanelli, Carmarthen and Bridgend. On-site visits are included in the monthly price. See areas we cover.
Can we get support in Welsh?
Yes. Ring us and ask, and you'll get someone who speaks Welsh.
Will you do a one-off job for us?
We don't offer ad-hoc support. Everything we do is on a managed basis, because that's the only way we can stand behind the result. We explain why in managed IT vs break-fix.
Local, and on site when it matters
We're based in Mumbles and come on site across South Wales, from Carmarthen and Llanelli to Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend. See IT support in Swansea or all the areas we cover.
