We're based in Mumbles, Swansea, and we've looked after businesses' IT since 2011. We're small on purpose: you deal with the engineers who know your setup, not a call centre.

How we got here
James Richards started working in IT in 1997. In 2009 he began supporting nurseries and early years settings with their technology, and in January 2011 he founded Octopus 365 to look after businesses' IT properly, on an ongoing basis rather than turning up only when something broke.
That's still how we work. We don't do pay-as-you-go call-outs. Every customer is on a managed plan, because looking after IT all the time is the only way to keep it reliable. Our prices are published, our tools are passed on at cost, and we tell people plainly when something isn't worth doing.
Today we support businesses on site across South Wales, and work remotely with businesses across the UK that have their own small IT team.

James has worked in IT since 1997 and founded Octopus 365 in 2011. He's supported nursery and early years settings since 2009, builds software as well as infrastructure, and has written books on cyber security for business owners.

Infrastructure and technical delivery
Rhys looks after the networks, servers and projects behind our customers' IT, and is often the engineer you'll see on site.

Katie makes sure customers get what they need from us, day to day and over the long term, and works closely with our early years settings.

A fixed monthly fee means we're paid to stop problems happening, so our interests and yours point the same way.
Say it plainly
No jargon and no scare tactics. If something isn't worth doing, including AI, we'll say so.

Our prices are on the website, and security and monitoring tools are passed on at our supplier's price with no margin.
