AI and Automation

Practical AI, including when not to use it

Every supplier is suddenly an AI expert. We'd rather show you where AI genuinely saves your team time, where an ordinary automation does the job better, and where you should leave well alone. Then we build the bits worth building.

  • Fixed prices, never hourly
  • On site or over Teams
  • No vendor kickbacks

Sometimes the answer is AI. Sometimes it isn't.

A lot of what gets sold as AI is really automation: a form that fills in a spreadsheet, an email that files itself, an invoice that reaches the right person. That's often cheaper, more reliable and easier to look after than anything with "AI" in the name. Where AI does earn its place is in reading, writing, summarising and sorting, the work that eats your team's afternoons.

We'll tell you which is which, even when the honest answer is the smaller job.

How we work

We don't sell AI by the hour, and we don't run open-ended training. Every engagement follows the same path, so you know what you're paying for at each step.

  1. Discovery session

A paid working session with your team, on site or over Teams, looking at how the work actually gets done and where the time goes.

  2. We go away and test

We try the promising ideas against your real processes before recommending anything, so the proposal is based on what works, not what demos well.

  3. A written proposal

What we'd build, what it saves, what it costs. Fixed prices, so there are no surprises.

  4. Build and hand over

We build the automations, test them with your team and make sure someone in the business understands them.

Pricing

Sessions are fixed price. Preparation and testing happen before every session, which is why we don't charge by the hour: you're paying for the outcome, not the minutes.

The kind of thing we build

Inbound email

Enquiries, orders and supplier emails read, sorted and passed to the right person or system automatically, with a draft reply waiting.

Forms and admin

Web forms that create the record, file the document, notify the team and chase the missing information, without anyone copying and pasting.

Documents and reporting

Proposals, reports and summaries drafted from your own data and templates, ready for a person to check and send.

Voice agents

AI voice agents that make or take routine calls, such as appointment booking and reminders, and log the outcome back into your systems.

The tools we use every day

We use AI in our own business every working day, for software development, proposals, server troubleshooting and documents. That's what our advice is based on. We're tool-agnostic and take no commission from any vendor.

Using AI safely

Your staff are almost certainly using AI already, on their own accounts, with whatever they paste in. As an IT and security company, we look at that side too: which tools are safe for business data, what should never be pasted into a chatbot, and how to put a sensible AI policy in place without banning something that's genuinely useful.

Questions

Do we need to be technical to benefit?

No. The sessions are about your work, not the technology. We do the technical part.

Why don't you charge by the hour?

Because the valuable part happens before the session: preparing, testing ideas against your processes and checking what actually works. A fixed price reflects that, and means you know the cost up front.

Can you just train our staff on ChatGPT?

We don't run open-ended training courses. Our sessions are built around your actual processes, which is where staff learn fastest, and they lead to something concrete being built.

Is it safe to put our business data into AI tools?

It depends on the tool and the account. Free personal accounts are often the risk. Business plans with the right settings can be used safely. We'll tell you which is which for the tools your team uses.

Do you only work with businesses in Wales?

No. Remote sessions work anywhere, and we travel for on-site sessions, with travel quoted when you book.

Local, and on site when it matters

We're based in Mumbles and come on site across South Wales, from Carmarthen and Llanelli to Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend. See IT support in Swansea or all the areas we cover.
