Microsoft 365, set up the way it should have been
Most businesses use a fraction of what they pay for in Microsoft 365, and leave the security settings that matter switched off. We get the licences right, lock down sign-in and make Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive work the way your business does.
- Microsoft Partner
- Licensing, migration and support
- Cyber Essentials certified
Signs your Microsoft 365 needs attention
- You're not sure which licences you have, or why
- Some staff still sign in with only a password
- Files live on desktops, USB sticks and personal OneDrives
- Nobody can find anything in SharePoint, if it's used at all
- Leavers' accounts are still active, "just in case"
- Several people share one login
- You've never checked who has admin rights
- You assume Microsoft backs everything up
What we do
Licensing
The right plan for each person, not the same expensive one for everybody. We remove licences nobody uses and make sure you're on a plan that includes the security features you need.
Secure sign-in
Multi-factor authentication for every account, separate admin accounts, sign-in rules that block risky logins, and passkeys where they make sense. This single step stops the majority of account takeovers.
Email done properly
Shared mailboxes instead of shared passwords, SPF, DKIM and DMARC so nobody can send email as you, and filtering that stops phishing before it lands. Check your domain now.
Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
A file structure that makes sense, permissions that match who should see what, and an end to "which version is the latest?". We move your files off old servers and desktops into it.
Migrations
Moving from Google Workspace, an old email host, an in-house server or another Microsoft 365 tenant. Planned around your working week, so staff log off one system and on to the other without losing mail.
Starters and leavers
New staff get the right access on day one. Leavers are locked out on the day, their mail and files handed to the right person, and the licence recovered. See our leavers checklist.
Which plan do you need?
Microsoft sells several business plans and the names don't help. In short:
| Plan | What you get | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Business Basic | Email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, with web and mobile versions of the Office apps | Staff who mostly work in a browser or on a phone |
| Business Standard | Everything in Basic, plus the installed desktop Office apps | Office staff who live in Word, Excel and Outlook |
| Business Premium | Everything in Standard, plus advanced security: conditional access, device management and Defender for Business | Businesses that hold sensitive data or want to meet Cyber Essentials comfortably |
Plans can be mixed, and most businesses end up with a combination. We'll tell you the cheapest mix that covers what you need.
Don't forget the backup
Microsoft keeps the service running, but deleted mail and files are only recoverable for a limited time. If an attacker, a leaver or a mistake deletes something and nobody notices for a few months, it's gone. A separate backup closes that gap. How our backup works.
Questions
Can we buy our Microsoft 365 licences through you?
Yes. As a Microsoft Partner we can supply and manage your licences, so there's one bill and one place to add or remove users.
Will moving to Microsoft 365 disrupt our business?
Very little if it's planned. We move mail and files in the background and switch over at a quiet time, usually a Friday evening, so staff start Monday on the new system with their history in place.
Is multi-factor authentication a hassle for staff?
Much less than people expect. It's usually a tap on a phone app, and sign-ins from trusted devices are remembered. It's also the single most effective thing you can do to protect your accounts. Our two-factor guide explains it in plain English.
Do we still need a server?
Often not. Files, email and sharing can all live in Microsoft 365. Some businesses still need a server for specialist software, and in that case a hosted desktop can be a better option than a box in the office.
Can you support Microsoft 365 if you're not our IT provider?
Day-to-day Microsoft 365 support is part of our managed and co-managed services, where we look after the whole picture rather than one piece of it.
Local, and on site when it matters
We're based in Mumbles and come on site across South Wales, from Carmarthen and Llanelli to Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend. See IT support in Swansea or all the areas we cover.
